In this section we will present general features information about fire extinguishers. We will briefely talk about the product itself than, we will talk about the training and the maintenance service program that we offer.
The Product:
Basically, a Fire Extinguisher is a cylinder containing an agent capable of extinguishing a fire. The cylinder is pressurized with a gas that will help expel the extinguishing agent.
In Canada, a Fire Extinguisher must be approved by the Underwriters’ Laboratories of Canada. Each Fire Extinguisher is labeled with the ULC logo.
Portable Fire Extinguishers are the first line of defense against fires and are thereby an essential safety component of very building. Designed for use at the onset of a fire, Fire Extinguishers must be present in the building even when sprinklers are already installed.

The Training:
As for training, Sylprotec initially began its activities by holding demonstrations on the appropriate handling of portable Fire Extinguishers. These demonstrations quickly evolved into formal, more technical and advanced training sessions. Today, we adapt the curriculum to the industry sector of the company requesting training.
